The Wachau forms ideal climatic conditions for the cultivation of our apricots, which express an extraordinary aroma and taste profile. Because the Wachau Valley has large temperature differences between day and night, the fruit juice, sugar, fruit acidity and aroma in the fruit can develop perfectly. Likewise, the so-called loess soil forms an ideal nutrient supply for the trees. Not only the climate and the soil characterize our Wachau apricots, but also the refining methods have a great influence on the quality of the fruits. For the refining we use traditionally different Prunus species.
