The Bailoni Company

Bailoni - Since 1872

The first Apricot Distillery in Wachau

At Bailoni, tradition and prestige are our trademarks. With a long and established tradition of distillery, the Wachau Apricot Distillery has been distilling and processing apricots at their headquarters in Krems-Stein since 1872.

Made in Austria. In our fast-moving and transient times, Bailloni focuses on the traditional products of our region. Robust craft techniques of the highest quality, decades of experience in the business of distilling apricots and attention to quality standards have distinguished the Bailoni Distillery for more than four generations.

But processing our apricots is not the only thing we specialise in. With around 1,000 apricot trees in Wachau, the business is also one of the biggest producers in the region. Meaning the quality of our products is second to none.

National and International award-winning company

Bailoni has been awarded  the gold in the "Monde Selection" competition on several occasions. As the only apricot distillery in Wachau, Bailoni was awarded the National Coat of Arms in 1977 as a public acknowledgment of the quality of its products.

In addition, the Original Bailoni Gold Apricot Liqueur and the Original Bailoni Gold Apricot Schnapps bear the Austrian certification mark of quality. According to the independent Nielsen market study, BAILONI has been topping the spirits market as the most popular tourist product for years.
